TIB Hires Tandy Hix As Correspondent Lender In Oklahoma

TIB announced today that it has expanded its staff in Oklahoma, adding Tandy L. Hix as Senior Vice President/Correspondent Lending for the state. Hix joins Richard Gallman, VP/Correspondent Relations, in serving the community bankers of Oklahoma with TIB’s full range of correspondent banking products and services.
“Being able to add such a seasoned community banker and lender as Tandy is a rarity in the correspondent banking world today,” explained President and CEO, Michael O’Rourke. “With deep roots in Oklahoma community banking, Tandy understands the needs of the institutions throughout the state. Further, he has served as a community bank president in recent years – experience that provides him with exceptional insights and a unique point of view into helping our many Oklahoma customers with today’s lending challenges.”
As the second former bank president to join TIB’s Correspondent Lending staff in the past year, Hix further bolsters what was already one of the strongest stables of correspondent lenders in the country.
Hix earned a B.S. from Soueastern Oklahoma State University and is also a graduate of the University of Colorado Graduate School of Banking. He served his country as a Drill Sergeant in the United States Army Reserve for 12 years and was discharged at the rank of Sergeant First Class.
During his banking career, he served for 14 years at First National Bank in Durant, Oklahoma, eventually rising to SVP/Retail Banking Division Manager. He then joined Fannin Bank in Bonham, Texas as Executive Vice President and member of the Board of Directors for Fannin Bancorp and was subsequently elevated to President of that organization. He remains a Durant, Oklahoma resident and will base his activities from there.
