TIB Promotes Blackshear and Wiley to EVP

TIB-The Independent BankersBank announced the promotions of Patricia Blackshear and Jerry Wiley to Executive Vice President at the bank’s monthly Board Meeting.
As “Employee #2”, Blackshear is one of four remaining original employees at TIB, having joined the bank in 1981. Since that time, she has served in numerous capacities at the bank, most recently as SVP/Human Resources. She is a member of TIB’s Executive Management Team, as well as serving as the Secretary to the Board of Directors.
In announcing Blackshear’s promotion, Michael O’Rourke, President and CEO, said, “We have always taken great pride at TIB in running this organization like a family. That culture has been part of this organization from the very beginning and I firmly believe that the constant in that equation has been Patricia Blackshear. She is a shining example of what this institution is all about.”
Jerry Wiley has been with TIB for more than 20 years – first in the bank’s Capital Markets Division as an Investment Advisor and most recently serving as Senior Vice President over the Bank’s Correspondent Relations Department. In his current capacity, he manages nearly a dozen Correspondent Officers who call on community banks across the country. He also serves on TIB’s Executive Management Team and is an Advisory Director of the Board.
“Jerry has done a tremendous job of managing our Correspondent Relations Officers and the overall sales function of the Bank,” explained O’Rourke. “He is exceptionally good at being able to take a big picture view of just about any situation – a trait that has served TIB and our Executive Management Team well. There is nothing more exciting to me than being able to reward good people who make a positive difference for our organization and our customers. These two are prime examples of that. We’re very luck to have them both.”
