TIB Elects James D. (Jim) Lindsey To Board of Directors

TIB-The Independent BankersBank announced the election of James D. (Jim) Lindsey to its Board of Directors at the bank’s annual shareholders meeting today. Lindsey serves as President, CEO and Chairman of First State Bank in Mesquite, Texas.
“We are tremendously fortunate to be able to add such a good friend and exceptional banker as Jim Lindsey to our board,” commented TIB President and CEO, Michael G. O’Rourke. “Jim has worked in virtually every area of community banking and has been one of our industry’s true banner-carriers. We are delighted to have him join what was already a very talented group of directors.”
Having started in the bookkeeping department at First State Bank – Mesquite back in 1971, Lindsey has literally worked his way to the top of the organization, serving in all areas of the bank.
Lindsey attended North Texas University, the Stonier Graduate School of Banking and numerous other banking schools. He serves as a Director of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas and for the Mesquite Economic Development Foundation.
